Back to work day and a rainy day, so this is another shot from yesterday's walk. I was attracted to the combination of sidewalk graffiti (MAGGI -N- JOSH) & fire hydrant.
Once again, you've captured a nice lump of quality engineering, which has obviously lasted many years. I love the little graffiti engravings on the wall. Those 'boy' + 'Girl' marks are all over the world. I had one on the wall of my old house which had the date '57 written next to them!
Thanks guys, the graffiti is on the sidewalk cement - this is a bird's eye view :-). That X cap is some relatively recent invention that keeps people from turning on the hydrants in summer to create makeshift neighborhood water parks...Not sure how it works.
