I took this over the summer, no time today to shoot anything new, and thought this fit in with the assignment of texture. Yesterday was metallic smooth & shiny, today organic smooth & shiny.
It is interesting how vegetables taken out of their context (ie a basket, plate, garden, shop), and also presented without their real colours; just don't look real.
If this was cast in bronze, I could imagine it sitting in the Tate Modern gallery in London. It could, afterall, be absolutely any size and material.
