I don't know if it's politically correct or not, but I don't think that's what they had in mind :-)
There are a lot of trendy new bars opening and closing in this neighborhood that has a huge spanish-speaking population (but bilingual, for the most part, now many of them born in the city), mostly Dominican, with a growing middle class.
I know I'm risking political incorrectness here - but the thought occurred to me - Was this perhaps a hangout for women searching for "Mr. Rights"?
