Reproductive Efforts

Reproductive Efforts

I think this picture is fertile ground for a critical analysis :-) From my AP Biology textbook. I've not taken many pictures lately, a very busy couple of weeks and the days are getting shorter and shorter. This one is from back in late September.

  1. This is well done. Nicely balanced in composition, positioning etc. B&W is perfect.
It is interesting what photography we can do at home, when we are pressed for free time. Well done.

I tried to do one of these once (without glasses), when I was a teenager with an SLR, with a really narrow DoF, focused on the text 'depth of field' in an encyclopaedia... I thought I was a genius, until I realised how many people had already done it. And my effort wasn't even very well done wither! LOL

  2. Thanks Bill, Online Photographer had a post recently on photographic cliches, I suppose this could easily have made the list. I do think that shooting "cliches" is almost a stage of development that we simply have to go through. Often it's about learning technique on familiar subjects that can later be applied to less common subjects. At least that's what I tell myself when I am drawn to these things.
