190 Street

Just a quick test shot with a 10-22 ultra-wide zoom, this shot at 10 mm (16mm equivalent). I lost a little bit around the edges from lens corrections in lightroom (barrel distortion). No image stabilization, but I was able to shoot this at 1/5 sec and it's pretty sharp, plenty sharp for this kind of image - it's not macro work. I had just missed a train so the station is pretty empty....

  1. Strong and straight in B&W. Nice one Micheal. Still don't have the impression that I am looking at an ultra wide angle shot perhaps by just missing the normal distortions.

  2. Great and straight! I have a 10-20mm made by Sigma for my Nikon DSLR. It's my favourite lens for architecture. I am always amazed at how little 'barrelling' distortion there is.

  3. Thanks guys, I will try to avoid the gimmicky distorted shots - but once in a while is fun. The lens has little distortion when shooting straight on, but things get weird pretty quickly when the lens is tilted.

  4. Very nice and it is easy to notice the importance of each letter.
