GWB Spotlights South

GWB Spotlights South

A cleaner look from the south side of the bridge pointing north-ish. I don't think they even use these things anymore, one unit from this array is missing entirely, and the bridge now has lights installed in the structure itself that are occasionally lit for special occasions.

  1. More your style I think. Cleaner composition for me. Like it

  2. Yes, Michael, the whole lighting unit by itself without the tree branches really "pops" in this version. Again I'm impressed with how you consistently achieve a pleasing balance of tonal values.

  3. This is superb. Very well balanced compo. Nice pin sharp throughout (high f stop?). The style of the lamp design has an almost organic look to it, compared to the functional style of the bridge construction.

  4. Thanks guys. Bill - I thought there was a bit of the stereotypical masculine vs feminine form going on here - not that I thought of that when I took the picture, of course.

George - I tried to approximate in b&w the tonality of the color scene with just a bit more contrast - deep blue sky and the silvery steel bridge lit directly by the sun.
